Dubai’s Global Village, a popular multicultural destination, has officially opened its doors for its 28th season today, October 18. This is a week earlier than its usual opening date, creating excitement among visitors. To make the booking process easier, entry tickets can now be booked through the park’s app and website.
On the first day of the season, gates will open to the public at 6pm. There are two types of tickets available this season, both of which have seen a price increase. However, those who book their tickets online will receive a 10% discount. The rates for the tickets are as follows:
– Value tickets: Dh25 at the gate, and Dh22.5 online. These tickets are valid from Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays, and are expected to encourage weekday visits. Last year, the ticket prices were Dh20 at the gate and Dh18 online.
– Any day tickets: Dh30 at the gate, and Dh27 online. These tickets offer visitors the flexibility to use them on any day of the week, including weekends and public holidays. Last year, the ticket prices were Dh25 at the gate and Dh22.5 online.
It’s important to note that senior citizens, children aged under three, and people of determination, along with one companion, can enter for free. The tickets are valid for a single entry during Season 28.
With the purchase of entry tickets, visitors will have free access to all the pavilions and can enjoy shows and entertainment on the Global Village stages. However, some attractions may come at an additional cost. For example, the Stunt Show at Cyber City costs Dh20, offering a futuristic experience with flying bikes, LED-covered police cars, and a tank. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, the region’s first ‘Odditorium’, charges Dh45 entrance fee and showcases eccentric displays.
Operating hours for the park are generally from 4pm to 12am on Sundays to Wednesdays, and from 4pm to 1am on Thursdays to Saturdays and public holidays. Tuesdays, except for those falling on a public holiday, are dedicated to families and women.
Global Village is known for its country-themed pavilions, which display the culture, food, clothes, and performances of various countries. This year, the park has listed 27 pavilions on its website, including popular ones such as Turkey, Japan, Europe, Egypt, India, Pakistan, and Africa.
To add more excitement to the experience, there will be fireworks lighting up the sky above Global Village every Friday and Saturday at 9pm. Additionally, Season 28 will feature over 40,000 shows and 400 performers, including AINJAA, a drumming group; Urban Crew, a Philippine troupe and America’s Got Talent alumni; Fusion Japan, showcasing tumbling, hip-hop, and physical feats; and the Dhol Foundation from the United Kingdom, which will combine South Asian drumming with Celtic music.
With its early opening, diverse attractions, and thrilling performances, Dubai’s Global Village is set to create unforgettable experiences for visitors during its 28th season.
