Casper Original Mattress Deals: Everything You Need to Know

The Casper Original Mattress, produced by one of the most well-known mattress brands, is a popular choice among consumers. After conducting a three-week sleep test, I’ve put together an in-depth review to help you determine if this mattress is the right choice for you.

The Casper Original Mattress is an all-foam mattress with three layers of foam and memory foam. Despite being described as ‘medium-firm’, I’d rate it as medium at most, potentially even medium-soft, based on my extensive experience with mattress testing.

During my sleep test, I found the mattress to be suitable for side sleepers due to its soft surface and contouring ability. However, it lacked support for the hip and lower back, making it unsuitable for stomach or back sleepers. Additionally, it did not provide adequate pressure point and joint relief.

On a positive note, the Casper Original Mattress excels in motion isolation, ensuring you won’t feel your partner move during the night. However, it fell short in the area of edge support, and I frequently woke up feeling overheated.

In terms of price, the Casper Original Mattress is at the upper end of the mid-range market, making it a less cost-effective choice when compared to similar options available from other brands. While it’s one of Casper’s more affordable offerings, sales and discounts are rare, limiting the potential for cost savings.

The mattress itself consists of three foam layers, including CertiPUR-US Certified foams, with a removable knit cover for easy cleaning. With a height of 11 inches, the Casper Original Mattress is designed to provide additional breathability through its perforated top layer of foam.

Ultimately, while the Casper Original Mattress has some strengths, including its motion isolation capabilities, its downsides may make it less desirable for certain consumers. Its lack of support and heat retention issues leave room for improvement, especially given its price point. For a more in-depth look, consider the results and ratings from my tests below.
