The Sharjah Digital Office (SDO) has introduced the ‘Smile… it’s easy’ campaign to promote the Digital Sharjah platform and mobile application. This campaign aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens and residents through an advanced digital infrastructure.
The Digital Sharjah app offers innovative solutions and convenient access to a wide range of services across various sectors. The goal is to effectively serve the community and simplify transactions.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens, residents, and visitors about the comprehensive public and private sector services available through the Sharjah Digital app. These services can be easily accessed and completed within minutes.
The Digital Sharjah platform, launched in November, provides over 40 services from 11 public and private sector entities. These services cover sectors such as business, real estate, social services, transportation, and utilities, catering to the needs of citizens, residents, investors, and visitors.
As part of the campaign, promotional videos in Arabic and English languages have been released. Screens in malls, cinemas, and social media platforms display creative content to engage the audience. Taxis and buses across Sharjah will also carry the core messages of the campaign.
Residents and citizens can avail services such as bill payments, parking ticket payments, taxi bookings, and trade name reservations through the Digital Sharjah app and website (https://ds.sharjah.ae). The app is available on Google Play and Apple App Store.
Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of SDO, emphasized that the Digital Sharjah platform is an important milestone for the emirate. It meets the needs of the digital community and provides various services through a single application. The initiative also supports Sharjah’s growth and sustainability, enhancing the quality of life for residents and promoting the emirate as an attractive investment and living destination.
The Digital Sharjah campaign aligns with the emirate’s vision and goal of catering to the specific needs of the local community, investors, and visitors. The first phase of the platform includes current governmental services, and future phases will include services from the private sector, civil society, and non-profit organizations.
The Sharjah Digital Office (SDO) was established in June 2021 to lead the digital transformation in the emirate. It aims to improve the community’s quality of life through smart and efficient government services. SDO also provides support and a legislative framework for implementing the emirate’s digital transformation strategy, while keeping up with the latest technological developments.
