Abu Dhabi to Establish New Real Estate Centre to Streamline Property Procedures

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Abu Dhabi government has unveiled plans to establish a new centre that will consolidate all real estate services and streamline property-related procedures. The announcement was made on Wednesday by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The new entity, known as the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre, will fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT). Its primary objective is to enhance the efficiency of real estate regulation and oversight, creating a more attractive investment environment in the emirate. Additionally, it will play a key role in supporting economic growth by contributing to the non-oil GDP.

“All roles and responsibilities related to real estate affairs will now be transferred to the unified entity,” stated the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office. Among its mandates, the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre will develop strategic plans to regulate and encourage the growth of the real estate sector. It will also oversee real estate development projects, monitor their performance, and launch new initiatives through managing government tenders in the sector.

Furthermore, the centre aims to provide support to promote real estate investment, ensuring that the sector contributes significantly to the development of the emirate.

The establishment of the real estate centre was announced during an Abu Dhabi Executive Council meeting chaired by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed. During the meeting, the Crown Prince also endorsed a new child protection policy for the emirate and reviewed updates on various government plans, initiatives, and projects.

This move is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of real estate services in Abu Dhabi, positively impacting the emirate’s economy and attracting more investment opportunities. With the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre, the government aims to streamline procedures and create a more sustainable and prosperous real estate sector.
