New developments unveiled by Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub to meet growing industry demand

November 9, 2023

Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), the dedicated aerospace platform in Dubai, has announced the expansion of three new facilities in response to high demand from companies looking to set up their businesses at MBRAH. The new facilities will include the expansion of the aerospace supply chain with a third and fourth phase, covering a total of 22,000 square meters, along with a suppliers complex and line maintenance units.

The suppliers complex, the first vertical aerospace complex in the region, has garnered significant interest since its launch last year, leading to a surge in demand for its units. A second phase will be launched to offer 13,000 square meters of industrial space to accommodate aerospace companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups.

Additionally, the third facility will feature an airside plot for the line maintenance units’ second phase, supporting airside operators with nine units offering a range of aviation-related solutions.

These new facilities are expected to be completed starting in Q4 2024, with 70% of the area already pre-leased by global companies attracted to MBRAH from abroad.

Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, expressed optimism about the expansion, stating that the MRO trade from MBRAH’s aerospace supply chain currently accounts for Dh5.6 billion and is projected to exceed Dh8 billion in the coming years. The expansion aims to accommodate this growing demand and contribute to Dubai’s global aviation presence.

MBRAH offers high-level connectivity to global aerospace players and is a free-zone destination for leading airlines, private jet companies, MROs, and associated industries. Situated in Dubai South, MBRAH is home to maintenance centers and training and education campuses, aligning with the emirate’s vision of becoming a premier aviation hub.

The new solutions announced by MBRAH reflect its commitment to advancing the aviation industry and providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and services for aerospace companies in Dubai.
