Ansett Aviation Training (AAT), the global operator of pilot simulator training centers from Australia, has launched its ATR 72-600 full flight simulator at Dynamic Advanced Training at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) in Dubai South. The move aims to enhance the regional pilot training infrastructure and took place during the Dubai Airshow 2023, drawing top officials from MBRAH, AAT, and industry stakeholders.

The ATR72-600 full flight simulator has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), marking a significant milestone for AAT and the region. This makes it the first EASA certified ATR72-600 full flight simulator in the Middle East.

The strategic location of the new pilot training center, just a few minutes’ drive from Al Maktoum International Airport, provides accessible training infrastructure for airlines worldwide. Ansett Aviation Training will be able to offer EASA training for airlines at this certified facility, and can also provide training under future approvals from regional NAAs.

Mark Delany, Group CEO of Ansett Aviation Training, expressed excitement about extending high-quality training to regional airline customers in Dubai, with state-of-the-art, EASA Certified ATR72-600 full flight simulator.

Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, expressed support for the new center and emphasized its role in complementing the ecosystem of advanced services provided by partners. He highlighted the hub’s commitment to cementing Dubai’s position on the global aviation map.

Khaled Hares, Center Manager at Ansett Aviation Training Dubai, stated that the team is fully prepared to provide top-quality training to esteemed customers in Dubai.

The fully operational Ansett Aviation Training Dubai center is currently supporting several operators and is in active discussions with regional airlines on how to best support their training requirements in 2023 and 2024.

MBRAH offers high-level connectivity to global aerospace players and is a free-zone destination for leading airlines, private jet companies, MROs, and associated industries. As a home to maintenance centers and training and education campuses, it strengthens engineering industries to foster the emirate’s vision of becoming a leading aviation hub.
